Ryan is an environmental consultant by day and a photographer whenever he can find the time. Currently residing in Chicago, IL, and having previously lived in Wisconsin and Michigan, his work is directly influenced by his midwestern upbringing and familial ties to the arts. Ryan's father worked as a professional photographer for various newspapers in his younger years, his mother is an avid connoisseur of architecture, and his grandfather was an art teacher and accomplished painter. Consequently, from a young age, he's been exposed to many facets of art and design.
His photography journey initially began as a means of self-expression through Instagram, where he began documenting his wardrobe and personal style evolution almost exclusively through self-portraiture, on an account that has since grown to over 15,000 followers. It's through this experience that he began to forge relationships with the many clothing and accessories brands that he has since come to work with. His work has been largely focused on portraiture, product, and lifestyle photography.
When not working, you'll likely find Ryan out on his bike, swimming laps in the pool, at a concert, trying to find a new vegan restaurant, or enjoying a sour beer. He prefers snow over rain, loves the Chicago Bears despite all their faults, and often feels guilty for spending too much time playing video games.
